HOME AUTOMATION

Smart Homes & Security

As enthusiastic electricians with our fingers on the pulse of the latest technology, we are available to bring your home right up to date with all the electrical advantages of the 21st century.

Home automation makes life easier and more energy-efficient. We can upgrade your house to a smart home, integrating the operation of everything from the doorbell, lighting and heating thermostat to the smoke detector, all controlled from your mobile whether you are at home or away.

We’re experts at installing electric vehicle charging points at your home, so you can confidently switch to a money-saving electric car and make a worthwhile contribution to reducing carbon emissions.

Home security is another important area where we make an impact. We install equipment like intruder alarms and external lighting to keep your home safe.

ELECTRICAL CONDITION REPORTS

Safety First

As NAPIT registered electricians we are qualified to issue an EICR (Electrical Condition Report) after carrying out prescribed testing and inspection procedures.

Homeowners should have this done for safety’s sake at least every 10 years, or when you move into a new house. If you’re a tenant your landlord is legally obliged to provide you with a copy of the current EICR for the property you are renting.

Even if you believe your electrical systems are safe and sound, there are some warning signs you should not ignore which could indicate that urgent electrical repairs are needed:

  • Regular tripping of a switch in your fuse box
  • Flickering, buzzing lights
  • A switch or wall socket gives off a fish-like smell
  • Scorch marks around a socket or switch
  • Frayed, damaged or exposed wires and cables

Don't just take my word for it...
